We were honoured to be invited to speak at their meeting and share more about the work we do at Nest Helping the Homeless.
Our presentation focused on the vital role our rucksacks play for people who are street homeless. These rucksacks aren’t just filled with essentials—they’re a lifeline. They help save lives by providing sleeping bags, mats, warm clothing, flasks and toiletries, but they also act as a bridge, helping outreach teams build trust with individuals. That trust is the first step towards finding accommodation and putting together a robust care package, linking people with the services they need to move forward.
A special thank you to Nik for delivering such a powerful and impactful presentation. He truly brought our work to life, and we know his words left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.
The Mirfield Rotary members were so warm and welcoming, and we’re incredibly grateful for their generous donation—which will fully fund a rucksack, including all its contents. Thanks to their support, someone sleeping rough will have the essentials they need and, most importantly, a pathway to further help.
